Best Marvel Trailers From San Diego Comic Con!

Marvel had a big Comic Con this year, but they didn’t really release a lot of footage.  Regardless, these were my favorite two trailers of what they did release:

With Doctor Strange coming out in November it is about time that we got a full on movie trailer, and that is just what Marvel gave us.  It gives us a good idea of what we should expect from this film while introducing the heroes and the villains.  It looks like a pretty fun flick.

Netflix’s trailer reintroduced Luke Cage in the best possible way with him just completely owning a street gang.  Netflix’s Marvel shows have been kind of grim, so it would be nice if Luke Cage could keep the lighter tone from the trailer while still existing in the grounded and gritty Marvel version of Hell’s Kitchen.

Those were my favorite trailers from Marvel, what did you guys like?

Warner Brother’s Best Trailers From Comic Con!

Warner Brothers knows it has do better after the critical failure of Batman v Superman, so it came to this year’s San Diego Comic Con locked and loaded with great trailers and footage.  Here are my favorite three trailers:

First up is Justice League.  The trailer wasn’t perfect, but at least if finally showed the core of the Justice League all on screen at the same time, and that is amazing.  I hope Snyder and Co can turn things around for this film.

Next is Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.  This is the best look at the movie thus far, and it looks great.  I can’t wait to see Newt Scamander’s Beasts terrorize 1920’s New York.

At last after 75 years we are getting a Wonder Woman movie, but not only is it a Wonder Woman film it is also a WWI epic!  Wonder Woman is looking like a can’t miss film event.  I know I will be in the theaters day one.

Those are my top three Warner Brothers trailers.  What did you guys think?

This Futurama Fan Film Looks Fantastic!

I love that the people at Cinema Relics decided to go completely live action with this Futurama Fan Film.  It looks like the movies they used to make in the late 80’s and early 90’s.  I hope that Fox lets them complete the longer version because I can’t wait to see it!

I Must Have Been Really Good Because Pacific Rim 2 Has A Release Date!

pacific-rim-background

After all sorts of talk about directors and story it looks like Pacific Rim 2 is fully moving forward because they announced the release date yesterday!  February 23rd, 2018, so if they are going to hit that date they are going to need to start casting and filming soon.  Which means we will soon be flooded with all sorts of giant robot news!  Or more like I will be reading all sorts of giant robot news and then posting it here causing my own mini-flood.

Anyway, I now have plans for February two years from now.  Soooooooooo excited!  Just so you know, I need Pacific Rim 3 too, so you are all going to have to see the movie this time around.  I can’t rely on China’s box-office again to make it happen, so butts in seats people!  You have two years to get ready.
