Yesterday Was Christmas For DC Movie Fans! First Full Suicide Squad Trailer And First Look At Wonder Woman!

Thanks to the CW’s Justice League Universe Special we have a new Suicide Squad trailer, and it looks awesome!  I can’t wait to see the these bad guys save the world!

Then if that wasn’t enough we also get the fist footage for Wonder Woman!  There is not a lot to go on yet besides the fact she rides around on a horse a lot and enjoys big hats, but it is exciting none the less.

It is fun to see DC’s Movie Universe come together. I just hope that it is all good!

Superman Is Not Fond Of Batman!

Superman is a scary dude in this clip from Batman V Superman that made its debut on Conan last night!  I don’t think I have ever seen Superman be more threating.  We will see if he is playing it up to scare Batman, or if he is really playing the villain.

This Conan interview of Zack Snyder also gave us some insights in to the new Batmobile.  Not as good as a clip from the movie, but still good!

DC Is Trying To Make You Forget About The Jonah Hex Movie!

jonahhexcomic-154842

According to Entertainment Weekly the CW is adding another superhero to the Legends of Tomorrow lineup, the scarred antihero cowboy Jonah Hex.  Jonah was last seen in a terrible movie staring Josh Brolin and Megan Fox, so the move to TV makes sense.  Maybe the CW show can scrub the thought of that film out of the audience’s collective memory.  Though I am more interested in the bigger implications.  If they are adding in Hex, what other heroes might we see along the way?  I hope they find ways to sneak in a lot of the lesser DC heroes.  If they can’t make it on the big screen it would be fun to see them on the small one!

Investigate Star Wars: Before The Awakening!

Do you want to know a little bit more about the three major new Star Wars characters from Star Wars: The Force Awakens?  You do!  Do you have the Hoopla Digital app from your local library?  Then you can read about Finn, Rey, Poe for free in the novella Star Wars: Before the Awakening by Greg Rucka.  Otherwise it is $8.50 on Amazon.

You are not going to learn anything ground breaking in Star Wars: Before the Awakening, so feel free to read it even if you haven’t seen the movie yet.  It just provides a little background information on the new crew in three short stories.  Like why Finn can use a light saber, why Rey is so good at fixing things, and how Poe got in to the Resistance.  Plus just a little more info on what the Resistance is in the first place.

Actually you get the most Force Awakens background info out of Poe’s story which makes his the most worth reading.  Though I did like the little tease of how things work in The First Order with Finn.  Rey’s story is good, but you don’t get any new info.  Just that she works hard on Jakku. Fun but lacking any substance.

Star Wars: Before the Awakening was a good little read and easy to recommend to Star Wars fans.  Especially if you have the Hoopla app and can read it for free.  Since it is so short, I might wait for the price to drop if you are Hoopla-less.  I enjoyed spending a little more time with the three new lead characters, and I suspect you will too.
