The Golden Globes Were On Last Night… CONSTANTINE IS COMING TO THE CW!!!!!!

So the Golden Globes were on last night, and congratulations to all the winners.  I am sure they all deserved their awards, even though I haven’t seen almost any of the movies that were nominated, did see a lot of the TV shows though… HOLLY CRAP CONSTANTINE IS COMING TO THE CW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Though not as we remember him.  He is going to be animated on the CW’s Seed Online channel much like Vixen.  Well the Vixen that isn’t on Legends of Tomorrow anyway (it is all timey-wimey).  Here is the first shot of animated Matt Ryan:

While the first season of Constantine was uneven, Matt Ryan’s portrayal was spot on, so to get him back is great.  I hope this leads to some live action crossovers with the other CW shows.  CW now has seven DC Comics TV shows: Arrow, Flash, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow, iZombie, Vixen and Constantine.  That is just nuts.  Wonderful, but nuts.  13 year old me is super excited.

My Top Five Movies For 2017!

2017 looks to be a great year for movies, and I hope that everything pans out.  It was hard to narrow it down to five, though if you know me this list will not be too surprising, so here we go!

5: Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

This first one was so amazing how could I not be excited for number 2!  Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 will be a must see event.  The only reason it ranks fifth is the strength of the rest of the list, not any doubts I have in this film.

4: Logan

Ugg this trailer makes me cry every time.  It looks like Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart are going out on a high note!  Also it will be fun to see how they fit Deadpool in to this film.  Logan is the Wolverine movie we have been waiting for.

3: Wonder Woman

We have been waiting for years for Wonder Woman to get her first solo film, and in 2017 it finally happens!  The time is right for a female led superhero film, and Warner Brothers needs this movie to be a critical and financial success, so they pulled out all the stops.  I can’t wait to see how it turned out.

2: Star Wars Episode 8

After two massive successes in a row, how could I not be excited for the next main line Star Wars film?  I will be in a seat day one for this film, and judging by the box office returns of the last two Star Wars movies, so will you.

1: Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets

The Fifth Element is one of my favorite films of all time, so I will not miss Luc Besson’s return to over the top Sci-Fi.  I know that it may be a surprising pick for number 1, but I am supper jazzed for this movie.  I want to watch it right now!

Honorable Mention: Lego Batman is the best Batman!

That is my list for next year, what are you guys looking forward to seeing?

The First Look At Mavel Studios’ Take On Spider-Man Is Finally Here!

So here is Spider-Man: Homecoming’s first trailer, and it is pretty good.  Peter is back in high school, doing high school stuff, and oh, Iron Man is around, so that should be fun.  Michael Keaton’s Vulture looks pretty sweet.  He should be a good first villain for this new young Spider-Man.  Anyway it looks like Sony will finally get the web-slinger franchise they have been after.

Telltale Batman Episode 4 Is The Episode You Have To Play To Get To Episode 5

batman-telltale-episode-4

It seems like all Telltale series have to have the ‘setup’ episode.  All they do is serve to set up events so the ending can knock them down, and Batman: The Telltale Series Episode 4 is that episode.  That is not to say there is nothing good in episode 4, there is, and I am very excited to see where all this setup leads, but it seems like it could have all been handled with a cutscene.

Though I will say their version of The Joker is very interesting, and the choices that you have to make in this episode are much less clear.  Which was proved at the end when I got to compare my decisions to everyone else’s because they were all pretty much 50/50.  Other than that though, Batman was spinning his wheels and ignoring pretty obvious clues and character motivations.

Despite Batman: The Telltale Series Episode 4’s flaws, I still enjoyed myself, and it is still one of the best Batman Year 2 stories ever made.  If you are on the fence about Batman: The Telltale Series, you shouldn’t be.  It is a great story that is a lot of fun to play through.  I just hope everything pays off well in Episode 5.

Things Get Real In Batman The Telltale Series Episode 3!

batman-telltale

Batman: The Telltale Series is one of the best Batman year two stories ever told.  A young Bruce Wayne struggling with his past, and trying to get a handle on being Batman and Bruce.  In the first two episodes you had no real idea about the consequences of your decisions, but things are starting to take shape in Episode Three, and for me they are not good.  Good story-wise, but bad for The Bat.

I would love to just sit here and write down all the great stuff in Episode Three, but that would spoil it for you, and I don’t want to do that.  What I want to do is tell you that if you like Batman, you should be playing this game.  It is out on just about every platform known to man, so there is no excuse not to be playing it.  I cannot wait to see if I can fix the problems I have created for myself in the first few episodes.
